Yin Yoga Teacher Training Yoga Alliance
About Us
At the Body-Mind-Soul Centre, a registered Indian yin yoga teacher training Yoga Alliance school (RYS 300), we are honoured to collaborate with teachers from wonderfully diverse and experienced backgrounds.
The ethos of the Body-Mind-Soul Centre is to apply the teachings and practices of the yoga tradition to go on an exploration to investigate the relationship of our body, mind, and soul. Ultimately to gain clarity, understand our nature, create harmony between us and others, and experience freedom and joy.
Our mission is to spread the love for yin globally, while creating high industry standards.
Our Expertise
In a Taoist / Zen way, we emphasize the value of breath, meditation, and intuition rather than ritual worship or rigorous following of old scriptures and perfect alignments. Everybody is different, so how a pose feels precedes how it is supposed to look.
At the Yin Yoga Teacher Training Yoga Alliance school (RYS 300), we see teaching yoga as an art fuelled by authenticity and creativity. A student’s personal practice and the understanding that follows subsequently spark the inner teacher and sharing with others will come naturally and spontaneously.
The Body-Mind-Soul Centre, Yin Yoga Teacher Training Yoga Alliance school acknowledges and emphasizes that every student and teacher has his or her own unique presence, energy, and teaching style. The Body-Mind-Soul Centre provides an ideal environment for learning and a practice process, where yoga teacher training courses are presented and practiced in depth.
Our Yoga Teacher Certificate is offered from The Body-Mind-Soul Centre in affiliation with Yoga Alliance as a registered yoga school (RYS 300), and the Yin Yoga Therapy™ Diploma is offered as a component of Alexandra Denkinger M.D.(Acu) therapy practice, licensed and registered as Doctor of Medicine in Acupuncture M.D. (ACU) with the Indian Board of Alternative Medicine.
Experience Yin Yoga Therapy™
Our mission is to spread the love for yin globally while creating high industry standards. No doubt ‘yin is in’ and with it comes a huge amount of unskilled and untrained people providing yin yoga classes. And while these classes often can be beautiful offerings and might be ‘yin’ in their nature, very often they are not what we consider ‘yin yoga’ in the yoga sphere.
The yin yoga practice according to the principles and components, following the foundations laid out originally by Paul Grilley, Sarah Powers, Bernie Clarke are defined.
The consideration of an individual skeletal structure, functional alignment and working with ‘yin tissue’ not only stretch but also strengthen them requires quite some ‘know how’.
Addressing the physical benefits as well as the energetic layer when working with the Taoist philosophy, the meridians and chi flow need serious study.
Transforming a yin yoga class into a in yoga healing experience needs skill, practice and talent.
We are here for it. And we offer you the opportunity to explore these things with us.
And ultimately to help us spread the word with our Yin Yoga Therapy™ affiliate program. Are you ready?

Alexandra Denkinger M.D.(Acu)
Founder of The Body-Mind-Soul Centre (RYS 300), Yin Yoga Teacher Training Yoga Alliance school, and creator of Yin Yoga Therapy™ is an inspired Body-Mind-Soul Bio-Hacker, dedicated to helping people empower themselves to live the most authentic, healthy life possible.
As an all-time seeker on a soul-searching journey, she traveled the globe and came in touch with many different healing systems and yoga styles. Eventually, she moved from her native place Germany to India to immerse herself in Ayurveda and Yoga nearly two decades ago.
In her Yin Yoga teachings, she integrates the ancient healing wisdom of the Acupuncture Meridians and the Chi flow in meditative yoga practice. In a Daoist/ Zen way, the focus is on the value of breath, insight & intuition – supporting a lifestyle that feels in alignment with our deepest self.
Alexandra lives in Mandrem, Goa, where she offers counseling sessions and a variety of holistic treatments. Here she looks at the patient’s whole system, environmental, emotional, and physical. She breaks down complex theories from different healing systems into digestible chunks for use in our daily life and offers practical information and encouragement to feel healthy, vital, joyful, and free.
Alexandra about herself:
”I like to see myself as a Body-Mind-Soul Bio-hacker. I counsel people and I help to heal their wounds. Physical, but mostly emotional. I did not intend to do this. When it came to me though, I knew it is my calling. I am passionate about it.
For me healing ourselves is our responsibility and an expression of environmental activism. We are healing the world by healing ourselves. And healing is actually very simple, it is an uttermost natural thing. Of course not everything can be healed, but most things thought incurable can be. Every organism has a basic instinct to be healed.
Energy flows where attention goes. I believe the good life is a matter of mind and soul and open to everyone. The body never lies. I listen, look and reflect to help you to activate your own healing abilities.
My goal is to empower you to live the most authentic, healthy life possible. A life that feels in alignment with your deepest self. Nothing brings me more joy than watching this happen.
I live and work with dedication, extraordinary intention and the spirit of liberation from convention”.

Manuela Sauter
Right after her first yoga class while visiting Laos, she made the yogic-lifestyle part of her daily life. In 2016 she completed her first yoga teacher training and ever since she was fortunate to expand her teaching skills as a travelling yogini in different settings, for example, taking part in conscious festivals and workshops, and living in various ashrams and yoga-oriented communities around the world. She has left her job and life in Germany behind to be a full-time pilgrim, searching for truth, answers and the meaning of this precious human life.
Curious to combine mindfulness meditation and yoga asanas she found yin yoga – a wonderful relationship! Yin yoga for her is a unique tool to balance physical exercise and mental relaxation, combined with the Philosophy of Daoism – going with the flow and radical acceptance- that’s what she practices and teaches.
Meditation, Yin Yoga and Yoga Nidra are playing a big role in that request and she is very grateful and happy to share this love with her students. Her YinLove is sparkling and she is offering her signature classes Yin & Sound healing with great success worldwide. She is the lead trainer for our Yin & Sound immersions, where she guides the students on how to utilise yin yoga, mindfulness practices and yoga Nidra combined with sound as a therapeutic tool for promoting physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Jenny Stark
Jenny has been a yoga practitioner since her adolescence and is now already a decade into the journey of her personal sadhana. She has been teaching pranayama, asana and yoga philosophy in India and globally since 2014.
Jenny is guiding you in person and in our online course through our traditional yoga philosophy and history module as part of the foundational 200-hour yoga education. Besides teaching yoga philosophy, she is also guiding our active morning practice classes, and is facilitating transformational conscious connection games and sharing circles, incorporating connective communication, movement medicine and bodywork into our training program. The practices with her are an integration of a decade of teaching, vast studies, research & authentic experience in yogic healing arts and movement modalities. Students appreciate her encouraging vibe and kindness, skill set and the variety of offerings she always brings to the space.
Along with Alexandra Denkinger M.D.(Acu) she has synthesised techniques and created Aerial Yin Yoga Therapy™ modality – a method of bridging the science and spirituality of Yin Yoga to the Aerial Silk Hammock. The main goal of this aerial yin practice is to provide optimal health and well-being through the alchemy of long holds, gravity, inversions and body-mind awareness.

Tina Bärtle
Tina loves to be in motion and since she can remember she was passionate about moving her body. So her first interest in yoga came from a physical angle, but very quickly she noticed the positive mental, emotional and energetic effects of the practice and yoga helped her through some hard times in her life.
As a professionally educated Physiotherapist, she loves to build the bridge between therapy and yoga and ever since her first teacher training in 2010, she never stopped diving deeper into the vast world of yoga. As a well-seasoned teacher travelling worldwide, she has around 1000 hours of training and workshops under her belt.
Her passion is Vinyasa yoga and as a former dancer, she loves to combine yoga and music to create a flow of asanas to become a dance. LIFE IS A DANCE, SO LISTEN TO THE MUSIC. But there is no yang without yin and so she found her way to yin yoga and appreciates this mindful and meditative, but also challenging practice.
Born in Germany she moved to Fuerteventura (Canary Island) early in life, which she calls her home base now for almost 30 years. She now became a globetrotter to teach and share the love for yoga with us.

Dr. Renuka Yadav
Dr. Renuka Yadav, finished her BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) degree in the year 2000. She pursued her passion for Ayurved and Panchakarma by taking formal training in Panchakarma from Sane Guru Rugnaaya in Nashik and Vaidyaratnam in Kerala. She is our Reiki grandmaster in the Yin & Reiki modules and also shares her profound knowledge of anatomy and Ayurveda with our students in Goa.
She has been associated with many reputed Ayurvedic Clinics and Centres, has helped many patients with their health issues but ultimately was never satisfied with the way Ayurved was projected and Wellness therapies were addressed. Her passion is to promote Ayurved as a science and not as a product, so she went on to establish the only government-recognized Vocational Training Institute in Goa in the field of Ayurved, Spa and Wellness.
Her personal quest for knowledge and enlightenment has led her to pursue various modalities of healing. She is a Pranic Healing Arhat, a Reiki Grandmaster, a Clairvoyant, a Crystal Healer, an Aroma Therapist, and a Tarot Card Reader. She offers the best out of all of them in her healing sessions. But beyond all, she is a wonderful, humble being who simply loves to nurture. You can also book an appointment with her for a pulse diagnosis, an Ayurvedic consultation, an authentic treatment plan, an energy healing massage, or maybe just to speak a few words.
A Healer… In its true Essence!

Anneliese Piers
Annelise Piers, our yin yoga & essential oil specialist, traded in her corporate suits for yoga pants after 17+ years as a cross-cultural coach to follow the call of creating deeper change in people she trained.
In 2014, she stumbled upon yoga to fix her gut and hormonal issues and decided to take up a teacher’s training to improve her own practice. It was at her very first yin yoga experience that she felt the overwhelming call to teach others and has dedicated the last 7 years to research and deep study of the yin and is now on a serious mission to teach others who share the same vision for deeper healing.
The other rabbit hole Annelise adventured down is the magical world of Essential Oils. She’s fondly referred to as ‘the good witch’ or ‘the mistress of magical potions’; no healing consult or class with her is complete without a personalised essential oil blend/recommendation.
She created the AromaYin courses – bringing together her solid foundation in the Yin Meridians, Acupoints and Elements and her understanding of how essential oils work with Qi, vibrations and emotions.
