Yin Yoga & Bodywork: Somatic Tools for Touch, Presence, and Release

Yin Yoga invites us into stillness and release through long-held postures. When combined with bodywork, the practice becomes even more transformative – soothing the nervous system, dissolving blockages, and guiding the body into profound restoration.

For teachers, learning to offer safe and intuitive touch refines the ability to read bodies, sequence with intention, and hold space with greater presence. For practitioners, receiving bodywork during Yin opens the door to deeper trust, healing, and embodied awareness.

This training unites Yin Yoga with hands-on bodywork to cultivate release, sensitivity, and compassionate touch. Yin provides the structural and energetic framework, while bodywork refines the art of supportive touch and presence – equipping you with tools to support students and yourself with greater depth, connection, and authenticity.

We will provide you with the skillset to guide Yin Yoga classes enriched with mindful bodywork, as well as to offer private stand-alone sessions of assisted Yin Bodywork – opening a holistic pathway toward inner balance, embodied well-being, and soulful connection.

2-Week Immersion – The Art of Yin Yoga & Bodywork

This 2-week immersion introduces Yin Yoga as a pathway of healing and stillness that, when woven together with bodywork, unfolds into a journey of profound release, balance, and reconnection – supporting your body, mind, and energy in harmony.

You will build the foundation for both personal practice and teaching. Together we’ll explore the principles of Yin Yoga with its Taoist wisdom, learning how the body’s chi flows through the main meridians of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Discover ways to activate and harmonize these energy pathways through a blend of Yin postures and therapeutic bodywork.

Blocked energy – whether caused by stress, trauma, injury, or limiting patterns – often shows up as tension, imbalance, or disconnection. Through mindful adjustments, assisted stretches, and touch-based techniques, Yin Yoga and Bodywork help to dissolve these obstructions, releasing tension and reawakening the body’s innate capacity for harmony and well-being.

Yin Yoga and Physiotherapy experts Jenny Stark and Tina Bärtle will guide you in the art of teaching yin with supportive hand-on techniques. From meridian massage to assisted Yin poses, you’ll learn to integrate bodywork techniques that nourish body and soul – bringing new depth to your group classes and adding richness to your one-on-one Yin Yoga Therapy sessions.

Angela

The experience of a lifetime!

Both Tina and Jenny were always on hand to answer any questions and assist with anything you may be struggling with. I feel very fortunate to have had these ladies as my teachers.

At times, the training was intense but very enjoyable, and I particularly liked that we also got plenty of teaching practice; I felt confident at the end of the training that I would be able to teach. This I feel was due to the exceptional teachers, Tina who was teaching the hatha and also made the anatomy lessons fun, interactive and easy to remember what we were taught. Jenny’s knowledge of yin yoga was outstanding and also made all the workshops fun and interactive.

You will learn so much from this course. I would highly recommend this course to anyone.
