Yin Yoga Therapy

Yin Yoga waves all layers of our being -body, energy, and mind- into a seamless whole, allowing a sublime experience of stillness and peace. The stillness of the long-held static stretches with relaxed muscles in Yin Yoga allows the space for mindful awareness and the opportunity to reveal and release deep layers of physical or emotional tension held within your fascia. The healing wisdom of the Daoist philosophy and the Meridians provides insight and guidance.

In this yin yoga teacher 200 hr certification course, you get a unique opportunity to learn to release physical and emotional tension, free stagnant or blocked energy and cultivate a peaceful quality of mind. By practising Yin we are practising acceptance and surrender, connecting our body to a Zen state of mind and we create the space to allow energetic and physical healing to take place.

3 Weeks Immersion

In the in-person immersion part of this yoga teacher 200 hr certification training, we will guide you through a journey through all the Daoist elements and their healing wisdom. There is no specific prerequisite required but an open mind and commitment and dedication to your personal development.

You will learn all about the ancient healing wisdom of the main Acupuncture Meridians and Chi flow in the body:

We will give you a deep insight into each Daoist element and the correlating acupuncture meridians and organs. Find out more about their subconscious value and the applied body acupressure points and Yin Yoga poses to help balance those energies and stimulate a free chi flow. In detail, we explore each body’s target area and its correlation with the meridians and facial pathways. We explain to you ways to emotional healing and the release of energetic blockages in the poses. As we put our bodies in certain positions different meridian energy streams get stimulated and we activate our body’s own healing powers.

You will get to know more about additional tools and different meditation techniques to support this process in your yin yoga teacher 200 hr certification course. We offer you insight into the power of visualization and breath, Yoga Nidra, Mantras and Mudras. There will be different meditations, acupuncture healing sessions, and chanting circles. In our Circles of Transformation, we create a safe space to connect and share. Together we open the gates to a long-lasting transformation.

+ 40 hours Self-Paced Online Course

To complete a solid foundation for your yoga teacher 200 hr certification and a deep understanding of yoga in all its variations we offer you an additional 40-hour self-paced online video course. Of these 40 hours 20 hours are dedicated to anatomy and physiology, and 20 hours will focus on general yoga humanities.

In the Yoga Humanities 20 Hours Online Course we share details about general yoga history,  philosophy and foundations like the eight limbs and Patanjali’s yoga sutras, Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads and the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. You will get to know about the Chakras, Koshas, Prana Vaayus, Kleshas and more.

Both these video courses you can start anytime after the complete sign-up and you will have one year time to go through the material at your own pace. Our team is always available for active support throughout this process.

“I have been attending the 200h yin yoga teacher training with Alex and her amazing team this summer on Bali.

I really can’t recommend the course enough! If you are thinking about doing a yin yoga teacher training, stop thinking and apply for this course right away.

I attended the course on Bali, more specific at the Suly Resort. It was kind of a magical place; old in a mysterious and fantastic way, but very beautiful and a great location for a yin yoga teacher training. Close to Ubud center (you could walk there following a path through the rice fields or take a scooter ride on the main street), but still located in very peaceful and quiet surroundings away from the main street and traffic. At Suly there were 3 nice and open yoga shalas, a meditation pyramid, a restaurant (with delicious vegan food cooked by Alex’ husband!!!), various study spaces and also a swimming pool to relax by and cool down in the free time. All in all great location!

I did roughly 40 hours of the course online (3 weeks in person and the rest online). I really liked this, because the 40 hours could be managed in my own pace and I could only take 3 weeks off from work. The online course was split into anatomy done by David and philosophy done by Jenny. Both managed to make it interesting and interactive which I really liked. My favourite part of the online course was Jennys inclusion of meditation in every lesson. This was my first time getting a routine of meditating; so thank you for that Jenny!

All in all, I think everything about this course was amazing! I had high expectations and still Alex, Tina, Gela and the rest of the team managed to impress me :)) I couldn’t have wished for a better first time teacher training experience.

And if you are totally new to teaching, like I was, don’t let that stop you. The teachers made the theory easy to comprehend and the space very safe, honest and open, where it was more than okay (almost expected) to make mistakes you could learn from! The most important thing is that you want to learn, study, open your heart and get out of your comfort zone.”
